Many of the applications that we work with are dependent on user data. Bases on such data, users are populated in the applications so that the system knows “who is who” and which email addresses to use in communication. For this reason, it may frequently occur that we exchange personal data, for example at the fist user load when you start using the application, or periodically with updates of such data when you have used the application for a longer period of time. We exchange such data so that we can load or update the application with the personal data from your organization.
Because of their confident nature, it is of the utmost importance to treat these data with great care. Furthermore, in The Netherlands, personal data are protected by law under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data have to be protected against e.g. loss of data or unlawful use. The Courseware Company is ISO 27001 certified, which is an independent proof that we treat your personal data in a secure way. However, when you send your personal data to us, we are obviously not in control of the way in which you do so. Therefore, we would like to inform you about the secure way to send personal data to us.
Examples of personal data:
- User import files;
- Database exports;
- Screenshots with personal data.
Email is per definition unsecure and therefore, using email to send personal data is not the secure method. In order to securely send personal data to us, you can log in to https://helpdesk.courseware.nl and place your request here directly instead of sending your request via email. All information is then transmitted in a secure way. Please note to always send personal data in a file (e.g. Excel, CSV) and not in the text body of the ticket so that the content will not end up in the body of an email message in further communication.
We trust that we have informed you adequately, but of course, you may have questions. In that case, please feel free to contact us.
